WED 23 NOV ORDER OF NATURE NIGHT, OXFORD TAVERN, 9pm
PERCUSSION JUNCTION
Our regular night of beats, experimentation, loops and rock will showcase
the sounds of Order of Nature.
This week we have 3 acts on the Bill. Kickin off is CHATTERBOX
For around 10 years, chatterbox has been harvesting sounds to chop,
loop, morph and meld into abstract sound journeys. These journeys are
created from the texture of sounds and the rhythms that can be found
within the repetition of small aural fragments into this is woven distilled
fragments of noise people, places, animals and machines, creating a
rich multilayered sound that glimmers and glitters with the remnants
of familiar (and not so familiar) things.
S.A.F.E will play a hip hop set that will feature the return of ENROE.
Coming back from his huge trip from England I am sure he has a few surprises
up his sleeve.
And finally PERCUSSION JUNCTION.
Percussion Junction is a newly formed four piece
that fuse traditional percussion and drums with modern beats that range
from global to beats and breaks to house and electro. The group brings
together Matthew Bourne, Paul Issa and Kane Goodwin on percussion along
with electronic back beats and melodies.
So there is now something to go and see on a
Wednesday night!

that makes you listen to each step of change through his tracks. Starting
out with just mcing over instrumentals back in the early 90’s
and saving his pennies to purchase a set of turntables, he has explored
many avenues of music. Punk bands, hip hop bands, djing, funk bands,
jazz bands and more recently has began experimenting with soundscapes.
He has recorded three releases, featured on soundtracks of bodyboarding
films, was selected on the Australian Computer Music Compilation cd
and was winner in the electronic/dance category for the Jaxter Awards
2005. Absorb is ready to let out his expressions.
