Wollongong Traditional Arts Society specialises
in various traditional arts eg: Oil Painting and Watercolour and
Pastels
Paintings.
The president of the Society is Joseff Vezgoff.
He has a broad range of knowledge and experience with various painting
methods and techniques.
MEMBERSHIP Is open to all "Would Be" artists
over the age of 16 who reside in the Illawarra and
are interested in furthering their art. We meet in the old Courthouse,
(Heritage Centre) on Cliff Rd, opposite the harbour, at 10am each second
Wednesday of the month.
Activities include: Group Paintouts, Art Critiques, demonstrations by established
artists, workshops and social outings. Artists visiting the area are welcome
to
these metings.
An outdoor Exhibition and
sale of Paintings by approved members, is held on the Foreshore of
Wollongong Harbour at
Brighton Beach, Belmore Basin, Wollongong
each third (3rd) Sunday of the month and on Sundays
and Mondays of Long Weekends, from 10am to 5pm (Weather Permitting).
You Must be a member to display your paintings for sale.
All works on sale are framed originals and include landscapes,
Seascapes, Local Scenes, Portraits and Still Life.
