The Fourth Annual diving: FOR GIRLS pool party

The diving: FOR GIRLS pool party is a vibrant celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD) for women and girls of the Illawarra. This community event is a highlight of the IWD Calendar and is based upon the principles of Community Cultural Development.

Vision
The pool party showcases the established and emerging creative talent of local women of all ages. The pool party also focuses on health and well being and promotes tolerance and acceptance among women and within the wider community.

The pool party offers an opportunity for local women to network and to develop skills through mentoring and support. There are opportunities to participate at all levels, including interactive, fun and non-threatening activities during the event. By linking local businesses, artists and creative event production, the importance of International Women’s Day and its platform can be communicated and celebrated with the wider community.

Cultural Services is the seeding fund provider of the event and provides valuable in kind support.

In 2005 we also were generously supported by the NSW Premiers Department, Office of Women.
